Several threads to the left, Starfleet is desperate to beat back the encroaching force of the Maquis. Even if it means destroying innocent lives.

That this is an Alternate Universe story on nearly all accounts. As such the character's back stories have been altered by the author's design under creative prerogative.

"Shattered" Episode Addition:

Like many Voy fans, I too, saw "Shattered". J/C, Includes spoilers for said episode.

Voyager is back in orbit of earth and, for Chakotay, everything is perfect. However, his happiness does not last as he is summoned to sickbay to discover that his Captain has died...and it's his fault.

A/N: Whew this was an interesting one. I must have started it six or seven times only to find out each time that something from the original request was missing, or something from the no goes list was included, or I just couldn’t continue. LOL Finally the night before this was due to be turned in, my muse popped up and drug this from me piece by piece. I was exhausted by the time it was finished. It is extremely rough and completely un betad. I apologize in advance if any of the grammatical errors leave you cringing.

Janeway and Picard have a chat

Summary:  An AU story. Several threads to the left, Starfleet is close to succumbing to the Maquis movement. Kathryn Janeway is recruited for a last ditch undercover mission to infiltrate the Maquis as a double agent.

 

Kathryn's revenge (angst alert)

Chakotay has reason to believe that Kathryn has been avoiding him. His suspicions all point to her having an affair behind his back, and with the least likely of crew members. No real angst; this is a comedy.
