I heard Pocket Books had killed off Janeway in The TNG series book Before Dishonor... I read it and was annoyed that only TNG crew particularly Picard and Seven (and Female Q) were in it apart from Janeway herself. Only a brief mention of Chakotay and Voyager crew (not named) at the end at Janeway funeral- and what was weird I didn't believe the story- it didn't sound like Janeway at all. I was shocked because the author Peter David is a normally good author (Imazdi being a very good example). I look forward to reading Voyager's Full Circle (I'm based in UK so books come out later)

To compound the mess made in Before Disnonor, the Destiny Trilogy brought absolutely no resolution to the dangling mention of the infamous Lady Q and Janeway scene.
And if it couldn't get any worse, Full Circle is almost on the shelves and aside from the action-filled plot outline, it looks like it will be an absolute heartbreaker. It's just what everyone always wanted to see and then yep, it totally rips out your heart. But I believe there is another Voyager novel coming out in October. I just can't give up hope that they will make this right.

I so wanted to see a Voyager movie... a happy ending one-they have to make this right after all Troi and Riker got together in the movies and Picard (definitely older than Janeway and not as talented- hands on) is still alive and captaining the Enterprise aka flagship... (looks really hopeful with wide puppy dog eyes) right?

Just finished Full Circle as Lomelindl predicted it starts to fulfil some dreams and then rips out your heart... some of it is slightly unbelievable... but we do get a Voyager crew reaction to everything and see what happens before and after... death toll is mounting. Its a lot thicker than the other books and ends on will be continued in UNWORTHY.

I read full circle... and they killed her in that one too! WTH!? Voyager does NOT EXIST without Janeway kicking some ass! Not only that, but killed by a regular borg? Please! It'd take the queen herself to take out Janeway and that would be if she got REALLY lucky. The ONLY good thing about the book is the fact that the command team FINALLY admit their love before she runs off and gets murdered.

okay I've read unworthy. Only mentioning the fact that Janeway was an excellent woman and that Chakotay and Seven rejoin Voyager in the Delta Quadrant... they've come full circle. It was good to read about the other characters but NOTHiNG about Janeway!!! What the hell? I wonder if its a sort of punishment- they give the fans what they want in a way- J/C together and then take it away before anything happens. They did that with a British TV series about a forbidden love... However for an alternative reality read on fanfiction.net Barbesilver's Starfleet Treachery and its sequel Homeward Bound. Awesome reads the pair of them just very long!!!
