A beautiful planet, a friendly hostess and a ball for the Command Team to attend.  What could happen?

This story was written in response to a challenge on JetC10 in November 1997, to write a scene where Janeway and Chakotay are stranded in the snow ....

 Written for VAMB's 2013 Secret Santa for Cheshire for the following request: A Chakotay centric take on "It's a Wonderful Life"

Just a piece of fluff for Halloween. Kathryn offers to help her stressed-out sister, Phoebe, by taking her niece and nephews out trick-or-treating. Chakotay shows up to lend a hand. Pure J/C slight mention of C/7. Fluff/Friendship/Romance.

Crossing some sort of gigantic beehive in relative safety and without having to bother for resources for the next one and a half year, or, crossing for at least two years a warn-torn region inhibited by a species which makes the Hirogen look like tame house pets – it should be an easy choice. If it hadn't been for the 'oath'.

Summary:  An AU story. Several threads to the left, Starfleet is close to succumbing to the Maquis movement. Kathryn Janeway is recruited for a last ditch undercover mission to infiltrate the Maquis as a double agent.
